The 18th running of the Irish Oaks was held on Wednesday 24th July 1912 over 1 mile of The Curragh, starting at the Madrid Post. A pot of 300 sovereigns was availble, 20 sovereigns to the second and 10 sovereigns to the third. The winner was owned by Mr Galstaun, trained by J J Parkinson at Maddenstown Lodge, Curragh, and ridden by J Thompson. The winner won by 3 lengths in 1 minute 49.4 seconds, with a head between second and third. |
